Local winemakers will get to try their hand at a new career on Fridays at Dry Creek Kitchen under the tutelage of wine director Drew Munro. How it works: • Winemakers will "work" 6-9PM each Friday • Dry Creek Kitchen guests will receive a taste of the winemaker's own wine towards the beginning of their meal, but the winemaker will be responsible for directing guests to an appropriate bottle given the guest's taste and price preferences.

For the Friday and Saturday late-night gigs at the Hotel Healdsburg's Fireside Lobby, Cuenca has lined up two players who bring extra flair to their jazz. Gary Brown is an ultra-versatile bassist whose keen rhythmic sensibility has got him work in movies and TV as well as straight-ahead and Latin jazz bands. He has worked for years in the bands of Flora Purim and Airto, so you know he's got the Brazilian thing down.
