The Healdsburg Farmers' Market...
where farmers truck their fresh, seasonal, and sustainably grown produce to town from farms mostly within 10 miles of the Healdsburg Plaza in Healdsburg, CA. A wide variety of fruits and vegetables are available as well as cheese, honey, olive oil, bread, wild fish, pasture-finished meat, and fresh eggs.
Founded in 1978, the market was one of the original twenty-two Certified Farmers' Markets in California. They are a mutual benefit, non-profit organization, owned and operated by the farmers and vendors of the market.
The market sponsors many events to raise awareness of seasonal produce, such as the Zucchini Festival and the Pumpkin Festival. Relish Culinary Adventures hosts Cooking Demonstrations on every second Saturday of the month.
Arrive early and join the chefs as they forage for the best vegetables in preparation for their wonderful meals. Located on Foss Creek and North Street in Downtown Healdsburg.

Relish Culinary Adventures - Homemade Mozzarella: Quick & Easy

Aug 6 | Aug 27, 2015
14 Matheson Street, Healdsburg CA 7:30pm -8:45pm
Relish Culinary Adventures presents Bob Peak, in a easy home made mozzarella making class, because authentic fresh Italian Mozzarella is one of the most difficult cheeses to make consistently well, taking about three days to make start to finish! But we all love it, right? So here's a home version of the process that takes less than one hour and makes delicious, luscious, warm mozzarella, ready to eat or serve. Homemade Mozzarella with Heirloom Tomatoes & Olive Oil
At this class a local home cheese maker and representative from The Beverage People, a home wine-, beer- and cheese-making business in Santa Rosa, will demonstrate the entire cheese-making process, transforming one gallon of Clover whole milk first into curds and then into a pound of mozzarella balls in less than one hour.
They'll start with a brief introduction to the concepts of home cheese-making and end with tastes of the just-made-and-stretched mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes and olive oil. After the class, guests are welcome to come up and practice stretching the curds by hand.
$69 Per Person
The Beverage People bring fantastic homemade wine to share with the over-21 guests as they taste the just-made mozzarella.
The Beverage People will have Mozzarella Cheese Kits (thermometer, cultures, rennet and other needed materials, and gloves for stretching) for sale at the end of the class to make it easy for you to get started making fresh mozzarella at home.
